An international scientific and practical conference on "Current Issues in Combating Crime" was held at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

On November 26, an international scientific and practical conference on "Current Issues in Combating Crime" was held at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Representatives from Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the event. In addition, officials from various structures of the Milli Majlis and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as employees, graduate students, and doctoral students from Baku State University, the Police Academy, and the National Aviation Academy, attended the event.

The conference was opened by Police Lieutenant General Ismat Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He welcomed the participants, wished them success in their work, and emphasized that the main goal of the conference was to discuss innovative approaches to combating crime, analyze effective legal mechanisms, and share international best practices.

Next, Ali Huseynli, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, Milli Majlis Deputy, and PhD in Law, presented extensive information on the criminal law and criminological aspects of combating crime, modern forms of crime, and their development trends. He also expressed his views on new types of crime, the theoretical and practical challenges of combating them, and prospects for improving law enforcement, investigative, and judicial practices.

The event continued with panel presentations.

Speaking at the conference with a report titled "Conceptual Problems of Criminal Prosecution of International Crimes," Nizami Safarov, Member of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, and PhD in Law, noted that improving the regulatory framework, adapting the legal system to modern challenges, and developing new regulations in the area of ​​cybersecurity and digital evidence are particularly important priorities.

In addition, other conference participants who spoke exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies, further accelerating the exchange of operational information, organizing joint training and education programs, expanding centralized databases, and strengthening scientific and analytical activities. The development of new research projects in the field of statistical and criminological analysis of crime was also noted as a priority area for discussion.

Guests attending the event praised the organization of the international conference and expressed satisfaction with the collaboration.

The conference was held in a businesslike and productive atmosphere.
