Minister of Internal Affairs Vilayət Eyvazov Meets with His Slovak Counterpart in Shusha
14.07.2026On 14 July, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Vilayət Eyvazov, met in the city of Shusha with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Matúš Šutaj Eštok, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, and the delegation headed by him.
During the meeting, the current state of cooperation and prospects for further development between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries were discussed.
V. Eyvazov provided information on the areas of activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the criminogenic situation in the country, and the measures being implemented to ensure citizen satisfaction.
The parties emphasized the importance of joint efforts, the application of modern technologies, and the prompt exchange of operational information in combating transnational organized crime, the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and firearms, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime.
Matúš Šutaj Eštok expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and noted their interest in expanding bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Internal Affairs.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of both countries.
