Azerbaijani Police Service is an example of loyalty to the state and people

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the next anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Police, Ministry personnel came to the Alley of Honor and arranged bunches of sweat flowers in front of the great leader's monument complex.  The memory of prominent ophthalmologist scientist, academician Mrs. Zarifa Aliyeva was honored.
The Alley of Martyrs, where the heroic combatants who died for the Republic's territorial integrity and sovereignty rest, was also visited.
A series of activities proceeded at the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Police Academy. A solemn event commemorating "Police Day" and the graduation of the 2022-2023 academic year was conducted here, with the minister, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, in attendance.
In the event, firstly  our population’s national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as police co-worker who rose to the peak of martyrdom in the battles for the territorial integrity of our republic and died while performing official duties were remembered. 
Then on the occasion of the professional holiday, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov expressed congratulations message and deepest wishes to the personnel by The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev and spoke about honorable and rich servant pass way of police during that 105 years, created valuable traditions, especially organization of the internal affairs bodies’ activity which are established by national leader Heydar Aliyev during his leadership in the country and the important works he did in the field of strengthening with patriotic personnel with a national spirit. 
As well as, thanks to the special attention and care of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the improvement of the activity and infrastructure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the improvement of its material and technical base and supply with advanced technologies to the level that meets the requirements and standards of the modern era, and the establishment of operational service activities on the principles of ensuring citizen satisfaction emphasized the implemented measures
He stated that constant steps are being adopted to guarantee the legal interests, rights, and freedoms of all people, and that many information and education systems have been put in place to benefit our population. To take systematic measures to raise police professionalism to a new level of quality, including the establishment of a special institution that meets all professional requirements - the Training Center, the planned involvement of personnel in professional development and retraining courses at that Center and the Police Academy, and the participation of thousands of employees in trainings and conferences held in other countries, drew attention to his participation.
The Minister emphasized the importance of qualities such as honesty, principledness, and responsibility in the accurate and flawless performance of official duties, maintaining a high level of crime solving, further improving the prevention of law violations, increasing the abilities of organs and parts to perform services in complex conditions, and more advanced performance of public service functions as a whole. He informed the team that the major task is to deploy extra measures.
At the same time, he stated that continuous work has been carried out in the last 20 years in the field of crime prevention, detection, investigation, and protection of the legal interests of citizens as a whole, including the neutralization of approximately 24 thousand criminal groups and gangs, the collection of more than 22 thousand illegally held firearms, and the crimes committed by their use. The number of unlawful conduct has drastically dropped. On average, 87 percent of offenses were settled, over 69,000 sought accused individuals were apprehended, and approximately 20 tons of narcotics were eliminated from the criminal market. He also emphasized public engagement in the battle against crime, particularly in the prevention of illegal drug trafficking, and several successful operations.
Minister V. Eyvazov stated that following the Patriotic War, which culminated in our magnificent triumph led by the victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, new realities in the area have evolved. He stated that it was tailored to the situation, that order and security in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur were dependably maintained, and that the service was maintained with tenacity and expertise.
The minister thanked citizens, police veterans, heads and employees of state institutions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and the media for always assisting the internal affairs bodies in carrying out their official duties and sharing the joy of the police professional holiday.
V. Eyvazov congratulated the graduates on the conclusion of their studies and awarded certificates and badges of the unique rank of "police lieutenant" to the graduates who graduated with honors, noting the particular role of the Police Academy in their achievements.
Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, on behalf of the participants in the solemn ceremony, assured the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, that the internal affairs bodies, which are always faithful to their oath, will continue to serve the Motherland and the people with honor, and will not spare their strength and skills in this way.
The ceremony concluded with the personal crew quietly stepping in front of the tribune.
