Another Graduation Ceremony Held at the MIA Military Institute
21.06.2026A ceremonial event dedicated to the graduation of the 2025–2026 academic year was held at the Military Institute of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Colonel General Vilayət Eyvazov.
The ceremony commenced with the commemoration of the cherished memory of the National Leader Heydər Əliyev, as well as the servicemen and police officers who were martyred in the struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Motherland and who sacrificed their lives while carrying out service and combat missions. The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was then performed.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant General Şahin Məmmədov, delivered a report on the development path of the Military Institute, the work carried out to strengthen its material, technical, and educational base, as well as the tasks ahead. He noted that the graduation ceremony is one of the significant events in the life of the Military Institute.
Minister Vilayət Eyvazov particularly emphasized that the enhancement of the combat readiness of the Internal Troops, one of the principal structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, their provision with modern weapons and equipment, and the strengthening of the social protection of personnel have always remained under the close attention of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Əliyev. He stated that, as a result of this high-level attention and consistent support, the Internal Troops are capable of successfully and worthily fulfilling any assigned service and combat mission.
The Minister of Internal Affairs particularly highlighted the role of the Turkish Armed Forces, including the Gendarmerie General Command, in the formation of the professional core of the Internal Troops and in achieving high standards in the combat training of personnel.
He highly appreciated the dedicated efforts made at this educational institution in instilling loyalty to the State, the people, and the military oath in the cadets. He noted that today, in accordance with its mission, the Military Institute of the Internal Troops is carrying out extensive work in training highly qualified and professional officers for the Internal Troops and expressed confidence that this important mission will continue to be fulfilled with distinction in the future.
Minister V. Eyvazov congratulated the young officers, their parents, and relatives on the successful graduation from the Military Institute and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of this higher educational institution, as well as to its officers and teaching staff, for preparing professional personnel for the Internal Troops.
Cadet Hüseyn Bilişov expressed his gratitude to the Head of State, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the officers and teaching staff of the Military Institute for the attention and care shown to them. He stated that they would faithfully fulfill their duties to the Motherland, the State, and the people, and would always uphold the honor of the military profession.
Afterwards, the Battle Flag was handed over to the third-year cadets. Young officer Ömər Səfərli affixed a symbolic commemorative plaque to the "Yaş kötüyü".
At the conclusion of the event, Minister of Internal Affairs V. Eyvazov presented diplomas to the graduates who completed the Military Institute with distinction and were awarded the rank of Senior Lieutenant.
The young officers then marched ceremonially past the grandstand.
