An international meeting dedicated to the prevention of road accidents, organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs was held

The 2nd high-level meeting of the Regional Network of European Traffic Police Organizations on "Traffic Police Activities on Road Safety" was held in Baku, organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and initiated by the World Health Organization on December 10-11.
The international event, attended by 43 participants from 24 countries of the world, as well as numerous non-governmental organizations and experts, was dedicated to enhancing opportunities for joint action in the field of road safety, regional cooperation and mutual exchange of experience between police agencies.

The two-day meeting, based on a program consisting of 8 sessions, as well as 2 high-level panels, 9 presentations and 4 open discussions, touched upon the issues of expanding the possibilities of joint action in the field of ensuring road safety, regional cooperation and mutual experience.

The sessions and panel discussions focused on current problems in the field of road safety and ways to solve them, the application of innovative solutions to minimize the number of road accidents, especially serious ones, as well as the damage they cause to the economy and the environment, ensuring public participation in this area, sharing knowledge and experience at the technical level on the application of information technologies in the effective management of road safety.
