4 years of Victory
08.11.2024A solemn ceremony dedicated to November 8, Victory Day, was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was attended by servicemen and MIA police officers who took part in the 44-day Patriotic War.
First, a minute of silence honored the bright memory of our brave sons who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our republic, and the National Anthem was played.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Interior Minister, Police Lieutenant General Ismat Aliyev called the liberation of our historical lands under occupation by Armenia for almost 30 years, the restoration of our territorial integrity and historical justice of the country, one of the most glorious pages in the history of our nation's multi-pronged statehood, a sacred victory written in golden letters in our history, and conveyed the congratulations of Interior Minister Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov to the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Deputy Commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Chief of the Personnel Department, Major General Ingilab Muradov, emphasized that the strong military potential created through the continuous efforts of the President of the country has contributed to the worthy fulfillment of the sacred mission facing us.
It was noted that the servicemen of the Internal Troops, which are an integral part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, demonstrated unparalleled courage and skill in the Patriotic War, as well as in the First Karabakh War, justifying the trust of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the faith of our people.
During the liberation of our land from occupation 66 servicemen died, 346 were wounded, 4 servicemen were honored by the head of the country with the title of “Hero of the Patriotic War”, thousands of our servicemen were awarded ordens and medals.
Later the speakers, noting that the victory gained in the Patriotic War is the beginning of the path to our sovereignty, held a local meeting with the participation of our Armed Forces, including the servicemen and police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aimed at neutralizing the terrorist elements threatening our territorial integrity and nesting in Khankandi, as well as the armed forces of Armenia, noted that the anti-terrorist measures have no analogues in the world military history.
At the end of the event, the documentary film “Our Glorious Victory is Eternal” was shown, telling about the exploits of our brave sons in the Patriotic War.
