
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vilayat Eyvazov met with his North Macedonian counterpart
10.03.2025On March 9, a delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Panche Toshkovski, arrived in our country for an official visit.
Minister Panche Toshkovski and his accompanying delegation visited the Alley of Honor, where they paid their respects to the cherished memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev. They then proceeded to the Alley of Martyrs, where they honored the graves of citizens who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our country and laid a wreath at the "Eternal Flame" memorial.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, welcomed his North Macedonian counterpart and the delegation accompanying him.
Welcoming the guests, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov provided an overview of the functions, duties, and operational directions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He highlighted the current crime situation, efforts to protect human rights, and measures taken to ensure citizen satisfaction.
Emphasizing the Ministry’s focus on combating major forms of transnational organized crime—such as drug trafficking, international terrorism, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime—Eyvazov underscored that tackling these threats effectively is only possible through joint efforts and international cooperation.
During the meeting, discussions were held on cooperation in combating cybercrime, experience sharing, and issues of mutual interest.
Panche Toshkovski expressed his institution’s interest in expanding collaboration with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly in the fight against crime and the adoption of best practices in ensuring public order.
As part of the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with the operations of the Internal Troops’ "N" military unit, the Intelligent Transport Management Center, as well as the "102" and "Safe City" services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
