Minister of Internal Affairs held an operational meeting

On January 14, under the leadership of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, an operative meeting was held on the results of service and combat activity of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2024.

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev has always paid special attention to the construction of the army, including special attention to the improvement of the activity of the Internal Troops, material and technical support, further improvement of working and living conditions of the servicemen.

The Minister proudly noted that the President has highly appreciated the courage demonstrated by the Internal Troops in ensuring the territorial integrity of the country, their services in maintaining public order and security, particularly in the liberated cities and districts, as well as during COP29 when military personnel worked alongside police officers. He also highlighted that this high-level attention and care demand that military and police personnel carry out their duties with even greater responsibility. 

Then, Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Commander of the Internal Troops, delivered a report on the results of combat service.

Concluding the meeting, Minister V. Eyvazov assessed the activities of the troops in the past reporting year highly, discussed the upcoming tasks, outlined solutions for them, and provided specific instructions and recommendations.
