First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, police lieutenant-general Azimov Seyfulla Sattar oglu

Azimov Seyfulla Sattar oglu was born in 1970 in the village of Yukhari Dasharkh of the Sharur region of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.

He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in 1994, and from the Police Academy of MIA of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2000.

In 1988-1990 he served military obligations in the Armed Forces.

He has been serving in the Internal Affairs bodies since 1996.

He worked as the Police Investigator and Chief Police Investigator for criminal investigation and combating organized crime in various structural bodies of MIA, Deputy Chief of the 24th Police Department of the Nizami District Police Department of Baku City, Chief of the 2nd and 22nd police departments of the Khazar District Police Department, Deputy Chief of the Narimanov District Police Department, Chief of the Guba District Police Department and Chief of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of MIA.
He was appointed the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan by Order No. 1316 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 5, 2019.

He distinguished himself in fighting against crime, provision of public security in the Republic of Azerbaijan and fulfilling the tasks set forth for protection of public order and was honoured with various awards for meritorious services. He was awarded the medals “For bravery" by Order No. 2309 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 29, 2012, and by Order No. 263 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 29, 2018.

According to Order No. 1310 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 1, 2015, Azimov Seyfulla Sattar oglu was promoted to the highest special rank of police major-general. Pursuant to Order No.2135 of the President of Azerbaijan Republic dated July 1, 2020 he was conferred the highest special rank of Police Lieutenant General.
