An event dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev was held at the Military Institute of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The representatives, cadets and students of the Police Academy, the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service, the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Customs Committee, educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense, the National Aviation and State Marine Academies, a number of state agencies and higher education institutions of our republic were participated as a guest at the event.

After the participants of the event laid flowers at the “Monument of Martyrs” at the Military Institute, a minute of silence was announced in the conference hall to honor the bright memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and our Martyrs who died for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.

Speakers talked of the great leader's invaluable role in the formation of New Azerbaijan as a whole, in strengthening and developing its independence, economic and political foundations, traditions of statehood, in raising its image as a legal, democratic and secular state. Sacred ideas of genius were emphasized in the event, which was continued today by The Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Within the framework of the event, winners of the essay contest “Love for Motherland in the footsteps of Heydar Aliyev” announced on the initiative of the Military Institute of Internal Troops were invited to the stage and awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.
At the end, a movie on the life and activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev was played.
