The Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted the meeting

By the invitation of the Minister of the Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, General-Colonel Vilayat Eyvazov a delegation led by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Turkey, Army General Ali Chardakchi, came to our country on an official visit.
Firstly, Mr. Ali Chardakchi and the people who accompanied him went to the Alley of Honor and laid wreaths of flowers in front of the monument of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, and paid tribute to the dear memory of the great leader.
They thereafter went to the "Eternal Torch" complex and the Turkish Martyrdom in the Alley of Martyrs.
Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, Minister of Internal Affairs, welcomed a delegation led by Army General Ali Chardakchi on July 20.
Welcoming the visitors, the minister stated that Azerbaijan's relations with Turkey are constantly improving, and that the great leader Heydar Aliyev's services in this field, including his "One nation, two states" policy, have been successfully implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as a result of political will and mutual visits. He expressed happiness that ties between our friendly and fraternal countries had reached a qualitatively new level.
Particularly emphasizing that the institution led by the Minister places a high value on expanding cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the Gendarmerie General Command, the Turkish Gendarmerie General Command's significant contribution to the formation of the Internal Troops, the transformation into an institution that meets the most modern requirements, and the further improvement of the professionalism of the personnel thanked for
Expressing his gratitude for sincere welcoming and for detailed information, Army General Ali Chardakchi said that he was glad from his visit to Azerbaijan and the fact that Baku is one of the most beautiful capitals and the safest cities in the world, the dynamic and rapid development of our country, and at the same time, the transformation of the Internal Troops into a mobile institution with high professionalism and combat capability. 
He estimated highly the productive cooperating between the correspondent bodies of the two countries and being “one nation, two country” Turkey is always nearby to Azerbaijan, will always do their best for the development of army and internal troop, the exchange of experience serves the interests of our brotherly nations and countries
The meeting covered a variety of topics of interest to the parties.
Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander of the Internal Troops, met with a delegation led by Army General Ali Chardakchi at the General Directorate of the Internal Troops.
Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov stated that the friendship and military cooperation between the General Command of the Turkish Gendarmerie and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have grown, and he provided detailed information to the guests about the Troops' combat path and development in the Patriotic War.
During the visit, the team from the friendly and brotherly nation learned about the training structure at the Higher Military School of the Internal Troops, as well as the circumstances established for cadets, including the "N" military units based in Baku.
