A memorandum was signed between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan

On February 22, a delegation headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the police colonel-general Marat Akhmetjanov paid a two-day official visit to n our country.
The minister Marat Akhmetjanov and the persons accompanying him went to the Honorary Avenue and laid a wreath in front of the monument of the national leader of our people, the architect and founder of the modern Azerbaijan state, Heydar Aliyev, and recalled the dear memory of the great leader.
On the same day, the minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, colonel-general Vilayat Eyvazov received his Kazakh colleague and the delegation led by him.
Welcoming the guests, the minister V.Eyvazov expressed confidence that this visit will serve to further strengthen cooperation between the authorities of internal affairs of the two friendly countries. Reminding that our peoples are connected by bonds of close friendship, mutual trust and respect, the relations between our states are always of a strategic partnership character, the minister delivered to the attention that dynamic development has been observed in all fields in recent years in accordance with the strategy defined by the heads of both states, and in this context, the cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is further deepened.

The colonel-general Vilayat Eyvazov emphasized that bilateral relations, especially joint efforts in the field of combating transnational organized crime, exchange of advanced experience and operational information, as well as the created normative and legal framework, primarily serve the interests of our peoples and states, and ensure security in the region.
The minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the police colonel-general Marat Akhmetzhanov expressed his gratitude to his Azerbaijani colleague for the sincere reception and high hospitality and informed the minister V. Eyvazov about the current criminogenic situation in his country, the state of fighting crime, the protection of public order, and the implemented reforms. He said that the institution he heads is interested in further expanding cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the visit will serve this purpose.
During the meeting, the ministers signed the "Memorandum between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of our country to the Republic of Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serjan Abdikarimov and the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, police lieutenant colonel Anaer Zohrabbayli took part in the reception.
As part of the visit, the guests visited the "N" military unit of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Police Academy, the Safe City Service and "102 - Call Center" and got familiarized with the activities of those institutions.
