05.11.2022On November 5, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the second anniversary of Victory Day was held by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Academic National Drama Theater. Military personnel and police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who participated in the 44-day Patriotic War, took part in the event.
First, the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our republic was commemorated with a minute of silence.
After the National Anthem was played, the congratulations and good wishes of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, addressed to the event participants on November 8 - Victory Day, were brought to their attention.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General Ingilab Muradov Muzaffar emphasized that our Armed Forces, which united as an iron fist under the unified command of the Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as the military personnel and police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, fought an honorable battle in the Patriotic War. Noting that the personnel took part in the battles from Murovdag to Shusha, the speaker stated that 66 people were martyred, 346 people were injured, 4 people were awarded the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War", and thousands of employees were awarded orders and medals during the liberation of the lands.
Speaking later, the head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel Elchin Mammadli noted that our military personnel and police officers, who are surrounded by the special attention and care of their countrymen, spare no effort and skills to justify the trust shown to them by increasing their knowledge, skills, and professionalism.
Those who spoke at the continuation of the event - the commander of the Special Detachment of the "N" military unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, captain Anar Mahmudov with the "Victory" order, the division commander of the Hajigabul District Police Department, police major Elchin Bahmanov, who was awarded the "For the liberation of Fuzuli" medal, The police officer of the Separate Agile Police Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, junior sergeant Kanan Sultanov, who was awarded the "liberation of Shusha" medal, and others, both in the First Karabakh battles and in the 44-day Patriotic War, were the soldiers and police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs against the invading enemy in different directions of the front line. they said that they fought with determination. The speakers noted with satisfaction that the military personnel and police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue their duties with great pride in the territories liberated from occupation today.
At the end of the event, the play "Road to Victory" written and staged by Azer Pasha Nematov, a folk artist, was shown.
