
The next Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States was held
23.05.2025On May 23, the 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Baku.
The participants of the 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States visited the Alley of Honor, where they honored the bright memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev with deep respect.
Then the guests arrived at Victory Park and laid a wreath at the memorial in honor of the Victory won by Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War, honoring the bright memory of the martyrs.
The Meeting was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erzhan Sadenov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Niyazbekov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Tashpulatov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Dursun Oguz, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Hungary Bence Retvary and Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
Opening the Meeting, V. Eyvazov warmly welcomed the participants and noted that the peoples of the Organization's member states are bound by strong ties of friendship, mutual trust and respect. Thanks to the wisdom, foresight and political will of the leaders of the Turkic states, interstate relations based on friendship and brotherhood have reached a qualitatively new level, acquired the character of a strategic partnership and are developing in accordance with the strategy determined by the heads of state. In this context, cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs is also deepening.
The Meeting discussed issues of expanding and deepening cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, jointly combating transnational organized crime, exchanging information in the field of illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, preventing, detecting and solving crimes committed using information technologies, as well as prospects for the digitalization of the Organization's internal affairs bodies.
It was decided to hold the next Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the parties signed a Joint Communique following the 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States.
The speeches expressed confidence that the 2nd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the member states and observers of the Organization will become another impetus in strengthening solidarity between the Turkic peoples and states, the participants thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan for hosting the event.
