The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vilayat Eyvazov welcomes his Belarusian counterpart
16.01.2026On January 16, A delegation headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Police Lieutenant General Ivan Kubrakov made an official visit to our country.
Minister Ivan Kubrakov and the accompanying delegation visited the Alley of Honor, where they respectfully paid tribute to the cherished memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of our people. Thereafter, the guests arrived at Victory Park and laid a wreath in front of the Victory Monument, which symbolizes Azerbaijan’s triumph in the 44-day Patriotic War, thus expressing their respect for the martyrs.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov, welcomed his Belarusian counterpart and the delegation headed by him.
During the meeting, V. Eyvazov spoke about cooperation with Belarus in the field of law enforcement and noted that combating the main forms of transnational organized crime—namely the illicit trafficking of drugs, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime—remains a key focus. He emphasized that achieving effective results in these areas is possible through joint efforts.
An exchange of views was also held on a number of issues of mutual interest.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Police Lieutenant General Ivan Kubrakov, expressed his gratitude to his Azerbaijani counterpart for the cordial meeting and hospitality extended to the delegation.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed a protocol on mutual cooperation.
