Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov received Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Çatakli who was on an official visit to our country.
Having welcomed the guest, Minister V.Eyvazov noted that relations between our fraternal and friendly states are successfully developing as a result of the political will and mutual visits of the heads of countries.
Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov noted that special importance is attached to strengthening and developing of the security sphere in our country like in all other spheres of public life and stressed out that the Azerbaijani police and the Internal Troops are operating at a high professional level taking on the role of the leading law enforcement body in protection of public order and crime prevention. Vilayat Eyvazov also drew attention to the undeniable role and great contribution of the Gendarmerie General Command and police of Turkey in these achievements. Therefore, the Minister of Interior of Turkey thanked the leadership and all members of the Gendarmerie Forces and asked the Deputy Minister to send his regards to Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey Suleyman Soylu.
Having expressed gratitude for hearty reception and detailed information, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Çatakli expressed his satisfaction with his second visit to our republic as well as with the rapid development, stability, and peace, having noted that Baku had become one of the most beautiful capitals and safest cities in the world. Mr. Çatakli also expressed his hope that he would continue to broaden mutually beneficial cooperation.
A number of other matters of mutual interest were also discussed by the parties in the atmosphere of sincerity and friendship during the meeting.
