Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Jizdan is on an official visit in our country from the 15th of November at the invitation of Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Ramil Usubov.
Within the scope of the visit, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Ramil Usubov received the delegation of the Republic of Moldova headed by Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Jizdan.

 Having welcomed the guests Minister Usubov emphasized strong friendly relations between our peoples and the high level of extending dialogue and cooperation between our republics achieved in all spheres over recent years and mentioned that these relations have deepened in the result of political will of the heads of states and mutual relations.
Having pointed out close business links established among relevant entities of our countries, Colonel General Usubov noted that successful cooperation is maintained in both bilateral and multilateral formats within the Interpol, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and GUAM and particularly expressed our interest in sharing of best practice and information and confidence in further development of these relations promoted by such-like meetings.
Further, the Minister provided the guests with the information about the current criminal situation in the country, complex social and political situation established in our republic in the first years of its independence, drastic legal and democratic reforms carried out under the guidance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who returned to power at request of the people, resolute struggle against crime, and efforts made to restore and maintain stability.

The Minister reminded that President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev successfully continues and develops the course of reforms and democratic changes based on the independent policy of integration of our country into the world and national interests established by the Great Leader, and emphasized the efforts made for protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, improvement of service activities, application of new information technology, further strengthening of logistics in the internal affairs bodies.
It was emphasized that the Automated Safe City System and 102 Hotline Service were launched in the Ministry to provide prompt measures against any illegal acts, continuous and live monitoring of public tranquility and prompt measures in case of any emergency events and mentioned that the innovation like ‘District Police Officers’ introduced based on the best international practice first of all provides citizens satisfaction and prompt and sensitive handling of public appeals.

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Jizdan expressed his gratitude for hearty reception, hospitality and detailed information and confidence that this visit would become a new impulse for further development of the cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of both states. He stated that the agency he heads would exert every effort in this area and expressed the interest in study of the best practices of their Azerbaijanian colleagues in crime prevention and maintenance of public order. He noted that today 22 graduates of the MIA Police Academy of Azerbaijan successfully serve in the ranks of the Internal Affairs Authorities of Moldova and mentioned that the continuous support provided by our country in training of high-skilled jurisprudence staff members is of great importance for them.


The parties of the meeting also discussed priority areas and prospects of the cooperation, combating illegal drug trafficking and other forms of transnational organized crime, enhancement of information exchange as well as other points of interest.
In conclusion, Mr. Jizdan invited the Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan for an official visit to his country.
During their visit, the guests also took a closer look at the Automated Safe City System and 102 Hotline Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and their functions in one of the police departments of the capital and particularly in the Mobile Police Regiment.
