Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov and Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov were on an official visit to Qatar from October 19 to 21 at the invitation of Qatari Prime Minister, Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
On October 20, meeting was held between the Azerbaijani delegation and Qatari Prime Minister, Interior Minister and issues regarding cooperation were discussed.

Dynamic development of the relations between the countries was noted during the meeting. Support of Qatar on Azerbaijan’s just position related with Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under several international organizations, including UN, Organization of Islamic Conference was noted with great satisfaction.
 
Later the Agreements between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Qatar "On Cooperation on Security issues" and  "On Cooperation in Management of Emergency Situations" was signed.
Emir of Qatar, His Majesty Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received Azerbaijani ministers.
During the visit Azerbaijani delegation also attended the 10th International Exhibition of Internal State Security held in Doha.
