18.03.2014The Minister of Internal Affairs, the colonel general Ramil Usubov has met the delegation led by the minister of foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Zarar Ahmad Osman on March 18.
The Minister welcoming the guests kindly stated that he was plased to meet the Minister mister Zarar Ahmad Osman again and the relationships between our peoples sharing the shared historic values and traditions were successfully developing in accordance with the political wills of presidents of both countries at currently, and stressed that that visit will gave new support to enlargement of the joint cooperation.
Then, mister Ramil Usubov gave a brief information about the functional duties and directions of activities of the organization he directed, intense social political and criminogenic situation ruiling in the country in the first years of the independence. The minister said that radical reforms were conducted in all fields of society life under the leadership of the great leader Heydar Aliyev only after return of him to the higher power under the persistent request of the people, the stability and law and order was restored, the criminogenic situation was taken under control, the fertile conditions were created for flow of foreign investment to our country.
The colonel general Ramil Usubov, highly appreciating that Afghanistan has always defended the right position of Azerbaijan in the issue of Mountainous Garabagh and other issues in international organizations, reminded the counter-party that the draft of “the Agreement in the field of security between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan” was prepared and sent to the other party in order establish relationships between the law enforcement authorities and as well as authorities of internal affairs of both countries, to combat transnational organized crime, especially combating illegal turnover of drugs.
Mister Zarar Ahmad Osmani expressing gratitude for cordial reception and detailed information stressed that the mutual visit and meetings will contribute to the development of relations in all fields between both friend and brother countries, and stated that he was sure that the above stated draft agreement would be soon signed.
