On January 18, the operational meeting was held in Mobile Police Regiment dedicated to the finals of the works executed during the last year and the duties set forth.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Ramil Usubov has taken part in the event.
The minister Ramil Usubov opening the operational meeting reminded that the last year was specific with the increase of the welfare of the people, strengthening of international positions of our country, more reliable protection of the human rights and freedoms in the result of political course and comprehensive reforms continued under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Excellency mister Ilham Aliyev.
He stated that all of this made its positive influence to the activities of authorities of internal affairs by being the visual confirmation of successive implementation of program and plans declared by the head of state, their meeting to the national interests and basing on the original reality. Colonel General Ramil Usubov said that the authorities of internal affairs of the republic have completed the last year with high results in the field of fighting crime and securing the public security.
The commander of the Mobile Police Regiment, police colonel Zaur Abdullayev made a speech with the report about the results obtained and the works done in 2013. He said that during the reporting period the main focus was directed to the implementation of the service based on the analysis of the operational conditions, improvement of knowledge level, outlook, moral, fight and physical training of the personnel.
It was noted that in order to improve the activities of pre service instruction of the duties having a special importance in increase of awareness of the staff about the criminogenic condition in the assigned territory as well as the committed crimes, the wanted persons and vehicles and etc, the necessary organizational measures were taken.
During the last year, the staff has taken part in detention of 528 persons for committing various crimes, as well as 133 persons for robbery, 126 for hooliganism, 129 for illegal turnover of drugs, 16 for fraud, 27 for other crimes and as well as 78 wanted persons. At the same time, the responsibility measures were taken about 26052 persons for various administrative offences as defined in the legislation. The number of persons detained for crimes and other law violations were 11.7 % higher in comparison with the previous indicators.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov finalizing the meeting stated that the Mobile Police Regiment performs the important functions in the field of fighting crime, securing public order and public security and especially in the protection of order in mass events, the crime was decreased due to the related activities of the law enforcement authorities, the stability in our country is protected reliably and everyone benefits from such secure conditions and safety.
The Minister reminded that the Regiment made a great progress in terms of professionalism and physical training, it turned to the mobile organization performing the assigned duties duly and in a high level, and it has a special role in securing the public order and security, safety, stability.
Colonel General Ramil Usubov stressing that the equipments necessary for performing the service duties were purchased and it was supplied with the most modern protection and technical means, noted that the staff is always in the center of attention in settlement of social problems. He said that the professionalism of the staff had to be increased and the associates had to know the duties, functions and rights defined by the law in deep. At the same time, a wide place had to be given to the application of scientific-technical achievements, new information technologies in the field of fighting crime and securing the public security, the ethic norms, lawfulness, human rights and freedoms had to be obeyed in intercourse with the citizens and the daily activities had to be conducted in accordance with the social concerns and especially it had to serve to the increase of confidence on the police in the society.
At the end of his speech, mister Ramil Usubov stated that he was sure that the associates of the Regiment would perform the duties undertaken by them with high professionalism in 2014, they would be a model for others in the service and also in private life, they would properly implement all tasks set forth, they would not refuse their forces and skills in provision of stability and protection of safety in our country.
