 Minister of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Major General Alakbarov Fazil Nariman oglu

Alakbarov Fazil Nariman oglu was born in Arbatan village of Sharur region, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in 1971. In 2006, he graduated from the Department of Law of the Nakhchivan State University. In 1990-1992, he served compulsory military obligations in the Armed Forces.

In 1992-2010, he occupied various positions in specific subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In 2010-2015, he served as the Chief of the State Migration Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in 2015-2017, he occupied the position of the Chief of the State Security Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Further, he was appointed as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by Decree #80-VFR of August 25, 2017 of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
On March 17, 2014, a special high rank of State Counsellor of Migration Service 3rd Class was awarded to him by Order#343 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. On February 3, 2016, he was promoted to the high military rank of Major General by Order #1765 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Alakbarov Fazil Nariman oglu was honored with various awards for excellence in performance of official duties in the field of crimeprevention, strengthening of legality and public order, maintenance of public security, migration service, and national security protection.

The Medal for Fatherland was awarded to him by Order #364 of July 1, 2009 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Medal for Excellence in the Migration Service was awarded to him by Order #1119 of March 18, 2015 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Order for Merits to the Fatherland III degree was awarded to him by Order #2765 of March 27, 2017 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He is married with three children.
